JOHN MADDEN, who will broadcast the SUPERBOWL for ABC Sunday, is up for election to THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME the day before.
It's kind of hard to believe he isn't in it already -- but he had to be nominated by the old-timers committee because his coaching career ended more than 25 year ago.
The Hall of Fame board meets February 4th in Detroit to make its selections.
