Quote Of The Week -- NEAL ARMSTRONG

I guess we all like to be recognized not for one piece of fireworks, but for the ledger of our daily work.

NEAL ARMSTRONG, Astronaut

The part I like best was where he decide to override the autopilot. That was a great leap for mankind.

What a great 60 MINUTES interview!

I agree Jack, the story of Neal overriding the auto pilot was one I've not heard yet.

I'm a huge Apollo moon mission buff.
My birthday's 7/20/71 -- two years to the day after the first moon landing by Armstrong and Aldren. Maybe because of that I somehow feel connected internally to this special date in American history.

I'm planning on purchasing Neil Armstrong's book FIRST MAN. It sounds like a good read from the interview.

It's in bookstores now.
