(From The Yahoo Avid User's Group)
Editors are complaining about not being able to copy/paste formatted text from WORD into AVID's TITLE TOOL (like for credit roll information). Are there any tricks?
Here's one I know.
In MICROSOFT WORD, save your document (with all text and characters sized and in position as you would want them to appear in TITLE TOOL) as an RTF DOCUMENT (RICH TEXT FORMAT).
RTF is the native format for TITLE TOOL and files created and saved as RTF can be copied and pasted exactly into TITLE TOOL.
Try copying and pasting from RTF after a fresh start up of the application.
Another little known, un-documented features of TITLE TOOL is if you choose your type style (font, size, shadows, etc.) BEFORE you click in the main TITLE TOOL window on a fresh launch of the application, that style will be the default whenever you open TITLE TOOL from then until you exit the application.
