THE NEW YORK METS new cable network, SPORTSNET
NEW YORK, will kick off next spring in New York with
125 regular season METS GAMES, as well as preseason games, the majority of which will be provided in high-definition (HD).
The regional sports network will be carried on COMCAST and TIME WARNER CABLE in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as sections of Pennsylvania and Upstate New York. Negotiations are ongoing with other cable and satellite service providers.
But baseball isn't the only game on this channel -- starting next fall SPORTSNET NEW YORK will also carry some BIG EAST and
BIG 10 basketball and football games, as well as evening and morning sports news programming.
