To increase the variety of roles she might be offered, ANNE HATHAWAY felt it was time to change her image from the virginal and ever-so-sweet of the two PRINCESS DIARIES flicks and ELLA ENCHANTED. In HAVOC, she plays ALLISON, a bored, affluent teenager who seeks thrills by getting mixed up with a Los Angeles street gang. Allison's drug use and sexually promiscuity pushes the film beyond R-rating territory. The film is reputed to be so edgy, that it could not find theatrical distribution.
NEW LINE HOME ENTERTAINMENT will release both an 86-minute R-rated version and a 94-minute unrated version on November 29th. Each will offer a 1.85:1 anamorphic video presentation, DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, and a trailer as the only supplement.
Expect an SRP of $19.97.
