Radio Leaders Applaud New IPOD With FM Tuner

Radio industry leaders reacted positively to news that APPLE was incorporating an FM tuner and ITUNES tagging in its newest model IPOD NANO.

JEFF SMULYAN, Chief Executive officer of EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS, said, "Apple clearly recognizes that radio is the number one source for new music acquisition and has made it simpler and easier for today's listeners to access the audio entertainment they value so highly."

The announcement also won kudos from THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS and the RADIO ADVERTISING BUREAU.
