THE WEATHER CHANNEL Turns To Rock

(From The Atlanta Journal Constitution -- By Jeffry Scott)

Light jazz is dead at THE WEATHER CHANNEL (TWC), replaced by rock standards.

"I think we've been doing an injustice to our viewers playing, for the lack of a better word, elevator music on the segments for all these years," said GEOFFREY DARBY, the cable network's new Executive Vice President of Programming.

TWC's new playlist is heavy on THE STONES, DEVO and THE CLASH.

Tim Harmon, thanks for the post.

[It's not like the jazz tunes were working for their product...oh wait, they were.]

[First they lose some of their best meteorologists, now they're dumping the jazz. They're trying hard to ruin TWC.]
