APPLE introduced a new version of its IPOD SHUFFLE music player that is half the size of the previous model -- it's about the size of a thumbdrive -- and holds twice as many songs.

To make up for the lack of a display screen, a new feature called VOICE OVER can, at the push of a button, speak the song and artist name.

The tiny MP3 player features a 4GB hard drive and will retail for $79.
